In Walworth County, 4 in 10 of those you pass on the street today will experience food insecurity at some time this year.

Turn every $1 into $7.

Stretch Your Donation


Because of our partnerships and resources, we can purchase $7 of food with every $1 donation we receive.  So, if you give us:

  • $25, we can purchase $175 worth of food
  • $50 = $350
  • $100 = $700
  • $1,000 = $7,000
  • $5,000 = $35,000
  • $10,000 = $70,000

One time or recurring.

We rely solely on individual donations, non-governmental grants, and private corporate gifts.


Your gifts, both large and small, enable us to feed our neighbors, fight hunger in our community, and meet people's most basic and essential needs. Please consider making a one-time donation or a monthly, recurring gift.   We work hard to keep our overhead very low, and put every dollar to use in providing food and other goods to our Walworth County guests.

Food or Supplies

Every can, every box makes a difference.

Donations are accepted Wednesdays from 10 am - 1 pm, on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9 am - 11 am, and on Monday through Thursday  when staff is available.  Please drive to the back of the building, enter the red awning doorway, and ring the doorbell.


If you would like an immediate acknowledgment for your donation please call ahead to confirm we are on site.  262-723-4488


Otherwise you may leave your donation inside of the awning anytime, attaching your contact information if you would like an acknowledgment sent to you.  Thank you!

Whether it's a child's birthday wish, friends joining forces to change lives, or businesses making a difference through teambuilding, we have many ideas for you to have fun while raising money (or collecting food) to help us fight hunger in Walworth County.

ABOUT THRIVENT FINANCIAL
Thrivent Financial is a Fortune 500 not-for-profit membership organization of Christians.  Their purpose is to serve their members- which today totals more than 2.3 million- by guiding them to be wise with money.
Giving back has always been important to Thrivent and their members. Thrivent has provided more than $330 million to help churches, educational institutions and other nonprofit organizations through the Thrivent Choice charitable grant program since its 2010 introduction.

ABOUT CHOICE DOLLARS
Eligible members invited to direct Choice Dollars can recommend where Thrivent should distribute some of its charitable funds among thousands of enrolled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
Eligible members are designated Choice Dollars based on one or more of the following:
The amount they pay in annual premiums for qualifying products- life, disability income and long-term care insurance.
The total contract value of their qualifying products- annuities and life insurance.
Whether they hold a qualifying Thrivent volunteer leadership position.

HOW TO DIRECT THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS®

Log in, enter your user ID and password, and answer your security question. (If you haven’t yet registered on Thrivent.com, click “Register for account access.”)
Find the number of Choice Dollars available to direct.
Choose “Direct All” or enter a specific number and click “Direct Now.”
Follow the prompts on the confirmation page to direct Choice Dollars.
By Phone
Call 800-847-4836 and when prompted, say “Thrivent Choice®.”
Press 1 to direct Choice Dollars or 2 to hear Thrivent Choice program Terms and Conditions. (If prompted, say or enter your phone number and date of birth.)
A representative will work with you to direct Choice Dollars.

At some point in time, we all start thinking about our legacy and what kind of lasting impact our lives will make on our community and the world we live in.

We appreciate every donation.  Here are a few wish list items and tips.

Things we need most:


  • Canned fruit
  • Canned tuna, ham, or chicken
  • Canned soup
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Canned spaghetti sauce
  • Pasta
  • Non-sugary cereal
  • Crackers
  • Peanut Butter
  • Laundry detergent (powder preferred)
  • Laundry stain remover
  • Full size toothpaste
  • Diapers size 6 and 7
  • Tampons
  • Feminine hygiene pads
  • Incontinence products size XL (adult diapers)
  • Hamburger meat

Shopping Tips:


  • Cans & boxes are best whenever possible.  Bags & glass jars can break.


  • Think smaller packages.  If you can get two 12-ounce jars of peanut butter for the same price as one 30-ounce jar, we'd rather have the two.  Although you may be giving less in weight, pantries would rather distribute a little to everyone who needs it, rather than a lot to some, and none to others.


  • Don't worry about variety.  If you'd like to give a dozen or more of one staple item, that works well for us.  Again, having something to give to everyone who needs it is most important.


  • Please don’t donate expired items.  We appreciate the thought, but the safety of our guests and the food we deliver them is our first concern.
